PARK CLOSED – Fitzgerald River National Park
There is a bushfire in the wilderness area of the Fitzgerald River National Park, which is currently uncontained and uncontrolled.
All recreation sites and access into the park is CLOSED until further notice (excluding 4 Mile beach campground and Barrens Beach).
Affected sites include:
- Hamersley Drive unsealed and sealed (north of east Mt Barren ranger station)
- Access to Hamersley Inlet Campground
- Quoin Head track
- Whalebone Track and Hut
- Moir Track
- Pabelup Drive
- Collets Road
- Point Ann Road
- Point Ann Day use Area
- St Mary’s Inlet Campground
- Access to Quaalup Homestead
- Twertup Track
- West Mt Barren
- Mt Maxwell
- Trigalow beach track.

FOR GENERAL PARK ROAD INFORMATION
Please contact DBCA’s Albany Regional office for the latest road update from the Park Rangers which can change at short notice so please be aware of the status road signs located at the start of key roads leading into the National Park.
A reminder to visitors that CARAVANS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON UNSEALED ROADS, as roads are narrow and may be corrugated. However, access by all vehicles is available year-round from Hopetoun along the sealed section of Hamersley Drive (south) up to Hamersley Inlet, where visitors can still experience much of what the Park has to offer including access to 4 Mile Campground (DBCA) and Hamersley Inlet campground (Shire) which are available to stay by booking online.
